A Smart and Meaningful Choice

Do you want to be part of growing the forest of the future at one of Sweden's leading nurseries? We are now looking for a nursery worker with an interest in mechanics and maintenance who enjoys collaborating with others to join our team at Gideå Nursery.

Your Next Workplace

Holmen's nurseries produce about 40 million forest plants each year, of which over 30 million come from our nursery in Gideå. Here we grow spruce and pine seedlings for the company's own forest, our wood suppliers, and external customers. We are strongly committed to developing the future of plant cultivation - preferably in collaboration with researchers. Would you like to help drive this development forward?

Your Future Challenge

As a nursery worker, you will be an important part of our production chain from seed to plant. Your tasks will include contributing to the operation and plant production at Gideå Nursery. You will also be primarily responsible for repairs and maintenance work on machines and vehicles, as well as working with internal freight transport, loading, and unloading. Since we apply work rotation, it may also involve performing other nursery tasks, such as packing plants, supplementation, or similar.

To thrive in this role, you should be able to work independently under your own responsibility while also being part of a team. On-call duty applies, and shift work may occur as needed.

To Succeed in the Role

We believe that you who are applying enjoy collaborating with others and are attentive to your colleagues. You take great personal responsibility for your tasks and drive them forward in a structured and organized manner. You can easily adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm when these situations arise.

We see that you have a high school education or equivalent. Experience in practical mechanical work, such as service or repairs of machines, is an advantage. A forklift or wheel loader license is also an advantage. You have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written, at least equivalent to SFI level C.

A driver's license (B) is a requirement.

However, we place the greatest emphasis on you and your personality - if you have a desire to learn and enjoy collaborating with others, we believe you will thrive in your new job with us.

We Offer You

With us, you get the best of both worlds. At Holmen Skog, you work in a non-hierarchical organization with quick decision-making processes and short distances from idea to implementation. While we are small enough for you to make an impact, we also have the strength of a corporation with the muscle to implement development and change.

We offer you a stimulating job with a high degree of personal responsibility and challenging tasks. We have an open and welcoming atmosphere that is permeated by our values of courage, commitment, and responsibility.

We give you the opportunity to work in a well-established and modern forestry company alongside engaged and professional colleagues. Within Holmen Skog, our vision is to develop all the values of the forest and cultivate raw materials for a sustainable society. With us, you have the opportunity to grow in a stable industry with exciting future prospects.

We make the forest grow and give

Holmen's operations are based on the power found in the forest. The trees that grow, the water that rushes in the rivers, and the wind that blows in the treetops. This is the core of Holmen, a business built on the forest's cycle and the renewable products we can create from it. Our business areas are Forestry, Energy, Wood Products, Cardboard, and Paper. We are 3,500 employees who, with courage, commitment, and responsibility, create a sustainable future.

Future-Smart Forest

Holmen is one of Sweden's largest forest owners. We actively and sustainably manage the forest to ensure it grows optimally and provides us with the best raw material. In the long term, we take responsibility for the forest's cycle from seed to replanting and protect biodiversity. Our employees manage our forests, purchase timber, and assist private forest owners across the country with harvesting and forest care.
